This time, it’s Medical Marijuana up for vote in The Texas Senate

After a bill was passed last week in the Texas house of representatives to decriminalize marijuana but died in the Senate, another bill has been passed in the house to expand access to medical marijuana.

According to KVUE in Austin, the Compassionate Use Act of 2015 in the state of Texas allows people with intractable epilepsy to use legal medical marijuana.

This new proposed House Bill 1365, would allow people With Alzheimer's, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Autism, Muscular Dystrophy, Crohn’s disease and a number of other illnesses to be added to the list of legally used medical cannabis explained in the Compassionate Use Act.

The bill would make it possible for there to be 12 dispensaries here in the Lone Star State that the Texas Department of Public Safety can authorize compared to the three that are in existence now.
