Study Shows Chick-Fil-A Makes You Wait Longest in the Drive-Thru
Everybody here in the building can attest to me being the number one Chick-Fil-A fan, and while I have nothing to complain about when it comes to the food or service at the popular food chain, let’s create something for argument's sake.
A quick-service restaurant drive-through report compiled my mystery shopping service SeeLevel HX shows that while Chick-Fil-A is the most popular fast food restaurant and it passes with flying colors when it comes to accuracy, taste, and overall customer service, they are the slowest at the drive-thru.
Other chains such as Taco Bell, Burger King, and McDonald’s average between five and six minutes, with the quickest chain being KFC with only a five-minute wait at the drive-thru.
But when it comes to Chick-fil-A, it’s a whopping eight-minute wait or longer.
I don’t know about you, but I personally don’t care about the wait.
It’s already crowded, so that tells me others don’t mind waiting eight minutes for their food either. You'll also notice that many Chick-Fil-A locations close their dining rooms either all day or during certain times during the day to help them comply with capacity orders in place during the ongoing pandemic. In fact, the entire SeeLevel HX report is within the context of COVID-19 and its impact on the industry.
And by the way, why is Chick-Fil-A so darn good?

When it comes to drive-thru wait times, Chick-Fil-A is, as I already reported, the longest, followed by Arby's and Wendy's.
