Temple Police Investigating Saturday NIght Shooting at Ave P and S 15th
Two people were behind bars Monday after police say they shot at a woman from their vehicle Saturday night.
According to a report from Temple Police Department spokesman Chris Christoff, the woman said she was driving to her home around 11:15 PM when another car (a dark Chevy Cruz) began approaching hers at the intersection of South 15th Street and West Avenue P. The victim said a man in the vehicle fired multiple shots in her direction from inside the vehicle. Thankfully, she was able to escape uninjured.
Two suspects - 20-year-old Robert Webb and 20-year-old Nacorria Noble - were located near the 4100 block of Fox Trail around 12:30 AM Sunday and arrested. They've been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and booked into the Bell County Jail.
Jail records indicate Webb was booked at 2:14 AM Sunday, and remained in custody at the time of this article's publication. No bond information was listed late Monday morning.
Noble was booked at 4:59 AM Sunday and remained in the Bell County Jail late Monday morning as well. No photo or bond information was available.
Police have not released further details.
Saturday night's shooting was one of a string of shooting incidents that have plagued Temple in recent weeks.
Most recently, a shooting case led to a case of mistaken identity, when a man was arrested on suspicion of injuring two people before police realized his twin brother was the actual suspect.
Sadly, there have recently been two stabbings in the city as well - one of which resulted in a fatality. Thankfully, the second reported stabbing did not result in a death, but did leave a woman injured.
