KPD Investigates Dead Body Found Downtown

According to the Killeen Daily Herald, an individual was found dead along 10th St. in downtown Killeen this morning.

The body was located near the Killeen post office where police had the area blocked off with caution tape. According to the police sergeant, the individual who had passed away appeared to have shot himself, and there was no indication that anyone else was involved. As of right now, The police have not identified the body and they are not exactly sure what occurred, but there should be no threat to the public. If anyone has any information about this gentleman, please contact the Killeen Police Department.
