
Big News for Families: Killeen ISD Expands Free Supper Program to More Schools
According to KCENT 17, an additional group of campuses will begin participating in the free supper program starting October 1. This brings the total number of schools in the Killeen Independent School District offering the program to 44.

Making a Difference: Killeen ISD Tackles Food Insecurity with Expanded Program
Students will no longer need to complete any registration or paperwork—they will simply be able to receive a free meal from the school cafeteria immediately after dismissal.
Steve Smith, Executive Director of School Nutrition for Killeen ISD, said the district is proud to be a leader in this initiative. He added, “By making sure our students have access to nutritious meals beyond the school day, we are investing in their long-term success,”—and I couldn’t agree more.

The newly added participating schools include:
Audie Murphy, Eastern Hills, Liberty Hill, Live Oak Ridge, Maude Moore Wood, Nolan, Palo Alto, Patterson, Rancier, Roy J. Smith, Union Grove, James “Jimmy” Don Aycock, Chaparral High School, Killeen High School, Ellison High School, Harker Heights High School, and Shoemaker High School.
Again, these schools are among the new additions, bringing the total number of participating campuses to 44.
