Interim Superintendent King Davis stated in a letter to parents that the video was created outside of school; however, it has spread to at least one campus. Although the incident currently appears to be limited to a single school, district officials are concerned that it could spread to others if not addressed promptly.
Important warning for Killeen ISD families: Explicit video of minors is spreading
Sharing pornographic material involving minors is not only against the law, but it also carries severe consequences. Superintendent Davis emphasized that under Texas law, this is considered a felony offense. It is also illegal for minors to send explicit images of themselves to others. Any student found with this material on their devices could face criminal charges as well as disciplinary action. The district urges parents to have serious conversations with their children to ensure they understand the gravity of the situation and the seriousness with which KISD is addressing this matter.
