Summer is just around the corner, and staying active is something we all need to prioritize. It’s important not only for adults but also for our children. Video games, TikTok, and social media can sometimes distract kids from getting the physical activity they need. That’s why it’s so important for families to come out and participate in events that promote health and wellness together.

The Best Family-Friendly Activities at the Killeen Wellness Fair

The 18th Annual Family Fitness and Wellness Fair, hosted this year by the Killeen Independent School District, is a great opportunity to do just that. This exciting community event will take place on Saturday, April 18, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. There will be a variety of attractions for everyone to enjoy, including food vendors, a farmers market, fun zones for children of all ages, live entertainment, and adaptive fitness areas designed especially for children with special needs.

Let The Kiddos Have A Fit Fun Time

This event is the perfect excuse to get your kids out of the house, away from screens, and engaged in fun, healthy activities. It encourages families to spend quality time together while focusing on physical fitness and overall well-being.

Where Is This Event Located?

The fair will be held at the Killeen Special Events Center, located at 3301 S. W.S. Young Drive. If you would like more information about the event, the Killeen ISD Community Relations Department encourages you to call 254-336-1707. It’s time for parents to take the lead in promoting healthy habits. Let’s not allow screens and television to take over our children’s lives. Instead, let’s raise our families with the mindset that health is wealth and there’s plenty of it to go around.
