28% of Delivery Drivers Admitted to Taking Food From an Order (I Knew It!)
A recent survey conducted by US Foods asked delivery app customers and drivers what they loved and what they loathed about the service. There's a lot of interesting information in the report, but what really stands out is that 28% of drivers admitted to taking food from an order.
This is the main reason why I don't order anything but pizza!
I can understand that though. I'm not gonna lie - if I was a delivery driver, I would steal a few fries from you too.
Other information from the report shows that the average person has 2 or more food delivery apps (Uber Eats and Grub Hub being the most popular), which they use at least 3 times a month.
85% of those customers surveyed would like their food delivered with a tamper-evident label.
60% of delivery drivers are irritated because customers either give weak or no tip at all.
Also what I thought was interesting was that 21% of the drivers who participated in the survey are irritated because the customer expects them to walk up a flight of stairs or get on an elevator.
Let me get this straight: I am already lazy because I'm ordering delivery for my food in the first place, and you expect me to get up from my comfort zone and meet you downstairs??
That kinnnnda defeats the purpose, doesn't it?
