
Severe Turbulence Forces Emergency Plane Landings in Waco, Texas
Severe winds in the Central Texas area caused planes flying over the area to make forced landings at the Waco Airport. Multiple planes heading to different places touched down due to the situation. Here's what is known at the time of writing.
How Did The Situation At The Airport Begin?
According to CNN, A SkyWest flight heading to the city of Houston encountered issues while trying to make its way to its intended destination. CNN reports that on the aircraft itself there were three individuals on the crew, and 28 passengers onboard. Due to winds in the area, turbulence became severe enough to cause injury.
The plane landed at Waco Regional Airport, and five unidentified persons were immediately taken to a medical facility. At the time of writing, the status of people injured has not been reported. But, Skywest wasn't the only airline that had issues with the turbulence.

What Other Airlines Needed To Forcibly Land At The Waco Airport?
CNN reports that two other flights, both affiliated with American Airlines and heading towards the Dallas-Fort Worth area, had to stop in Waco. Also at the time of publishing, nothing in regards to crew or passengers has been stated. There's also been no mention of any injuries.
CNN received a comment from American Airlines as well that simply stated:
"Due to storms at DFW, two flights briefly diverted to Waco and later re-departed.”
