Former Baylor University President Robert B. Sloan Dies at 77

Baylor University, located in Waco, Texas, is mourning the death of Dr. Robert B. Sloan, the university's former president, according to KWTX. Heights Church in Houston, Texas, announced that Dr. Sloan had unfortunately suffered a massive stroke. The news was later shared on social media by the church's Executive Director, Edward Crowell.

What Was The Cause Of Death?

Crowell stated that Dr. Sloan suffered a stroke on July 3 and that every medical effort was made to save his life. Sadly, he passed away early in the morning while surrounded by his family. This is truly a sad loss, not only for Dr. Sloan's family but also for the entire Baylor University community.

Crowell described Dr. Sloan as a man with a strong presence, great wisdom, quiet counsel, and a friendship that left a lasting impact. He went on to say, "It was one of the highest distinctions of my professional life to work directly with Robert in leading our church through some of the most challenging days."As of now, the church has not announced any funeral or memorial arrangements. Dr. Sloan, you will be missed.
