Texas Tech Red Raiders advance to NCAA Championship for the first time ever

They are dancing in the streets in Lubbock!

The Texas Tech Red Raiders advance to the NCAA championship game Monday in Minneapolis.

This is the team’s first ever trip to the championship game after making it to the Elite 8 last year.

Matt Mooney had a game-high 22 points as their defense helped paved the way to their 10 point victory.

They now face the Cavaliers of Virginia for the NCAA men’s championship game Monday night- congrats to the Red Raiders!
