
A Parent In Texas Left A Loaded Gun In His Student’s Backpack, But Why?
A parent of a Texas child now face charges after it was found they placed a gun in the backpack they brought to school. Here's what is known at the time of writing.
When Was The Gun Discovered Inside The School?
As reported by KHOU 11, the situation began on Thursday, January 23. Per a released state from Ryan Pavone, the principal described the moment the weapon in in question was found:
"This morning, one of our early childhood teachers found a firearm in a student’s backpack as she was checking in her students for the day. This was immediately reported to campus administrators, Pasadena ISD Police Department and the backpack containing the firearm was secured."

As per the statement, no children were harmed when then gun was found. But the issue then became the following:
When Was The Gun Put In The Child's Backpack?
Following the gun being located, the parent of the child was alerted. Jonatan Alexander Polio, the 30 year old father of the child was interviewed by police. Polio revealed to authorities that he mistakenly left the firearm in his child's backpack.
After this revelation, police placed Polio under arrest for the charge of endangering a child. His bond was requested to placed at $25,000.
Did The Principal Say Anything Else About The Incident?
Pavone, to put it simply, was very happy with how everything was handled:
"I am very proud of our teacher who discovered this, my administration team, and our Pasadena ISD Police Department for their rapid response in handling this very serious incident."
