Temple’s Latest Initiative: Combating Homelessness And Hunger

The city of Temple, Texas is always looking to grow and improve for everyone who lives in it. Whether it be road construction or a new building, Temple is constantly changing every day. The newest effort by the city aims to assist in helping those without a home and who need help in obtaining food.

Who Is Temple Partnering With To Make A Difference?

As reported by FOX 44, Feed My Sheep is teaming up with the city of Temple to help with the previously mentioned problems. The city itself is going to look at what they can construct in the city to help with those who don't have a home, and Feed My Sheep will tackle the hunger issue. Jeff Steagall, Executive Director of Feed My Sheep, said the following about their efforts:

“The bigger picture, we tried to connect the community as a whole to understand and to meet all the people that are truly part of our community, period.”

What Is The Main Reason For Trying To Bring The Temple Community Together?

The biggest factor that both the city of Temple and Feed My Sheep are using the help people come together is none other than faith. Per Nancy Glover, director of the Temple Housing and Community told FOX 44:

“Around on which things are built...What he is able to do is bring that faith community together for everyone to have the same kind of buy in or for the future of these people. So working together, I think it’s going to be a huge success.”
