Temple Residents Are Dropping Predictions for the Salad 2Go Building
It’s been a year, if not longer, since Salad to Go closed in Temple, Texas. Honestly, I miss the restaurant. They had really good Caesar wraps and drinks that were my go-to lunch items. But now that they’re gone, it’s been over a year, and locals want to know: What will replace that building?

Miss Salad 2Go? Here’s What Temple Neighbors Hope Replaces It
Anybody who knows me knows that I’m always advocating for a CAVA to be anywhere in Bell County. But now that we have Hummus Republic, that gives us room for new ideas and new restaurants. Locals made it very clear when I asked what restaurant they would like to see there: They don’t really care what goes in, as long as it isn’t a car wash or another chicken spot. And honestly, that is beyond understandable.
Temple Locals Weigh In: What Belongs in the Old Salad 2Go Spot?
The space itself is perfect for a restaurant. It’s not big enough to necessarily be a gas station or a grocery store, but it’s definitely cute enough to become something like a coffee shop, bagel spot, or even a bakery. Einstein Bros. Bagels, Dave’s Hot Chicken, or even Dutch Bros. could potentially be a perfect fit for the area. As of right now, I guess it’ll just remain a mystery. But you know we’ll keep Central Texas posted!
