The blazing heat of summer is finally starting to mellow out, which means it's time to celebrate. The Bacon, Blues & Brews festival is happening in Belton on Friday and Saturday.

You don't have to twist my arm on this. Anything with bacon and brew will have my full attention. Put that together with some blues and I'm all in.

What's the Haps?

The Belton Journal is reporting that the Bacon, Blues & Brews festival happening on both Friday and Saturday at Courthouse Square in Downtown Belton.

Yep! Two days of Bacon, Brews and Blues. The weather on Friday and Saturday should be near perfect for Central Texas standards, with 88 and 91 degrees projected for both days.

What Time Does This Party Start and What are We Drinking?

Events get started on Friday at 5 PM with food trucks serving it up till 7 PM.

Of course what's a Bacon, Brews and Blues festival without the brews? Bold Republic Brewing will be there serving up some of my favorite beers, as will Barrow Brewing and Southern Roots Brewing. Fire Base Brewing Company from Temple and Whitestone Brewery from Cedar Park have also confirmed that they'll be there too.

Top 20 Restaurants Central Texans Wish Would Come to Temple

A while back, I asked the good people of Temple if they could picture a good restaurant to fill the lot on North General Bruce Drive where the soon to be torn down Long John Silver's stood.

This was before it was announced that a Dutch Bros. Coffee location would open there (which was one of the places I predicted as a contender in our article).

So now Dutch Bros. is open in that spot, but the responses to my survey were interesting because they paint a picture of just how diverse Temple's population is. People recommended some familiar restaurants with locations in the surrounding area, but also a few I'd never even heard of.

Here are the top 20 results of the survey. Let's see what the good people of Temple are craving!
