In the small town of Belton, people make reservations bright and early on Sundays for one particular brunch spot — the Water Street Waffle Company. And trust me, this place is like no other. Located at 107 Water St., it's full of good vibes and even better food. The space isn’t very big, but that doesn’t stop the crowds from pouring in. I’ve been to this restaurant more times than I can count, simply because the food and customer service are that good — even when it’s extremely busy. The staff is incredibly attentive and genuinely kind.

Sure, you can enjoy Water Street Waffle Company for lunch during the week, but there’s just something special about a Sunday morning there. Whether it’s the mimosa flights, homemade chicken sausage, fried green tomatoes, or shrimp and grits, it all just hits differently. It’s the kind of meal that can turn your whole day around. Now, I wouldn’t call myself a professional food critic — but when it comes to good food, I’ve had my fair share of experiences. And honestly, I don’t know anyone in Central Texas who would disagree that this is the go-to brunch spot.
