Killeen Authorities Are Probing The City’s 14TH Murder Case
According to KWTX, the Killeen police department is investigating a murder that took place, on Sunday, August 25 at 4:33 AM. The Killeen police were told to respond to the 2300 block of Andover Drive in the southwest area of Killeen about shots fired. While officers were en route to the location the dispatcher informed the officers of an accident that occurred on the 1000 block of West Over Drive not too far from Andover.
WHAT HAPPENED WHEN POLICE MADE IT TO THE LOCATION?
Once police officers arrived at the location, there was an unconscious female victim in a totaled vehicle and the victim also was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Justice of the Peace Nicola James pronounced the victim deceased at 5:04 AM and ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Science.
HAS THE VICTIM BEEN IDENTIFIED?
The name of this victim has not been exposed. As of yet, it has been withheld pending notification of next of kin. According to KWTX, there is no threat to the community to this incident and detectives with the robbery homicide unit are asking anyone with videos or security footage of this area to contact the criminal investigation department at 254-501-8830.
