Texas Is Known For Some Of The Best Mouth-Watering Burgers In The US
It's one of the biggest debates in the world of food - where can the best burger be found? Is it being served up in Dallas, Wichita Falls, Marfa, San Antonio, Tyler, Bullard, or in Athens, Texas? Legend has it Athens is the birthplace of the hamburger. Wherever it comes from it's a personal preference and it all depends upon those thousands of tastebuds that live on the top of your tongue.
That perfect juicy hamburger could be made with ground beef, mixed with sirloin, brisket, or even lamb, or made of turkey, chicken, mushrooms or vegetables. Most people consider a fantastic burger to be made of a mixture of ground beef and sirloin and cooked with a thin line of pink in the middle.
We've seen the healthy debate appear online many times here in East Texas, is the best burger coming from Jucy's Hamburgers, In-N-Out, Whataburger, or someplace else? While East Texans debate that, Noteably listed out some of the best burgers from around the country. Many of the best burger joints appearing on their list from Texas come from places that operate one restaurant that have been selling thousands of burgers for many years now.
From the Noteably list of 30 best burgers in the nation, here are the Texas joints you've got to try sometime:
- Chris Madrid's - San Antonio
- Tookie's Hamburgers & More - Kemah
- Keller's Drive-In - Dallas
- Hubcap Grill - Houston
- Better Luck Tomorrow - Houston
- Pool Burger - Austin
While folks in Tyler say the Burger Warehouse, Daniel Boone's, Lola's and Jucy's Hamburgers are cranking out some great hamburgers the editors over at Noteably say we need to check out those burger joints while we're on our summer road trip this year.
There's more to the burger than just the meat though, you've got to take into consideration the seasonings used in the mixture, how it's cooked, is it grilled on an open flame, broiled, or pan-fried, along with the toppings that complete it and what kind of bun it's sandwiched by.
Now I'm craving a burger y'all. I'll take mine with some melted sharp cheddar, mustard, and some pickle juice and I'll be extremely satisfied!
