Belton Man Faces Invasive Visual Recording Charge
A man from Belton, Texas was taken into custody following his actions regarding a bathroom in an unknown business. Here's what is known at the time of writing.
What Brought The Attention Of Belton Police Department?
Per KWTX, an unidentified, at the time of writing, female was using the bathroom when noticed something off about the area. Looking up at the ceiling, she found something that was abnormal, a hidden camera. She also noticed that camera itself was pointed at toilet.
Police were alerted to the situation, and began their inquiries. During questioning, the female victim identified one person as being in the bathroom before her. That person's name was Cody Lee Terell, and it was stated that he "appeared nervous" and normally didn't use the bathroom with the camera in it normally.
This in turn, turned law enforcement's attention to Terell.
What Did Terell Say Or Show To Police That Led To His Arrest?
KWTX revealed that in the early questioning of Terell, he refuted claims that he put the camera in the restroom. However, he changed his story later, and did confirm he was the one who put the camera where it was located.
He told police that he wasn't trying to film the person who found the camera, but another unnamed person. Further evidence was discovered in Terell's Amazon purchases.
Officers found that he had bought multiple types of secret cameras. Terell was arrested and faces a charge of invasive video recording. As this is a developing story, we will have more information when it becomes available.
