Filemon Perez, A past police officer in the state of Texas is alleged to have taken advantage, who has not been revealed, of an unidentified woman. Here's what is known at the time of writing.

Details Of The Case At The Time Of Writing

According to the Dallas Morning News, in affidavit they collected, the incident took place on November 28th, 2024 in Lewisville, Texas. As revealed by the document, Perez received word about a "noise disturbance" around the time of 12:37 AM. Near the same time, an unidentified woman, whose identity was not revealed, was walking home from a bar in the area.

The woman eventually reached her apartment, but stopped at the main office of the complex for a moment. While the woman took a moment to recoup, a police officer, who said their name was “Officer Charles," and asked if they needed assistance reaching home. The woman welcomed the help, as the affidavit revealed she trusted the officer due to her biological father being one.

When they both arrived at the residence, the officer requested a glass of water. While the woman was unsure why the officer wanted one, she allowed him into the apartment to give them the water. However, the affidavit reveals that officer instead assaulted the woman, which included non-consensual oral sex and intercourse.

It is reported the officer stopped after a call was put out on their police radio that they had to answer. The woman then phoned 911 revealing what occured.

Why Was Filemon Perez Taken Into Custody?

When the woman was called in to describe the officer that assaulted her, she picked Perez. In addition, it was discovered that GPS data matched with both location and time of the incident. Additionally, Perez resigned as a officer after the discovery he would be fired as an officer due to his alleged actions.

Perez stands accused of sexual assault and official oppression, appearing at the Denton County Jail and being taken into custody. He posted bond and was released.
