How Can You Avoid Falling Victim To The Scam In Question?

The most important thing to do first is to make sure that the company offering the property is indeed real, as stated by FOX 44. Scammers will try to get you to pay for items such as rent or deposits by using an app or something not normal. If an app deemed as third-party is used for these fees, it might indeed be a scam.

Mostly importantly, alert law enforcement to the situation. For example, if the alleged scam is happening in Belton, you should alert the police there by calling 254-933-5840 which is the number for the Sheriff's Office.
