Academy award winner and one of the original "Queens Of Comedy" Mo'Nique has had a rough few years with her well publicized beefs with some of Black Hollywood's most powerful people and her lawsuits against Netflix for gender and racial discrimination. Reaction to all of this has been mixed but Mo will finally get her chance to shine and turn the negative into a positive as she returns to television with her first stand up special in a decade.

According to Essence Magazine, the 52-year old comedian will return to TV on cable network Showtime with a stand up special called "Mo'Nique & Friends: Live From Atlanta" set to debut on February 7th.

The one hour special will feature Mo with fellow comedy veteran Donnell Rawlings along with a group of new performers including Prince T-Dub, Just Nesh, Tone-X and Correy Bell.

In my opinion, this is GREAT for Mo'Nique because I have long desired that she stop worrying about Netflix and all those who won't give her an opportunity and create an opportunity for herself to shine and she's doing just that PLUS utilizing her platform to share with others.

I'll definitely be watching, will you?
