Want to Try Coke’s New ‘Space’ Flavor Coming to Central Texas?
The eternal question: Coca-Cola versus Dr Pepper?
Historically in Central Texas, we are Peppers. We even have a soda museum in Waco dedicated to the beverage.
Are you willing to try something different? Have you ever wondered what space tastes like?
Coca-Cola has a new limited-edition soda that will be available in regular and zero sugar, according to CNN Business.
What Is Coke's New Flavor?
According to People Magazine, 'Starlight' has a unique taste that Coke describes as
Notes reminiscent of stargazing around a campfire, as well as a cooling sensation that evokes the feeling of a cold journey to space. Inspired by space, Starlight was created with the vision that — in a world of infinite possibilities — somewhere in our universe, another kind of Coca-Cola, another way of connecting with each other might exist.
The drink itself is red, and the bottle has a pink label with a starry background.
What Does Starlight Coke Taste Like?
Although Starlight isn't yet stocked in stores nationwide, there are already reviews and opinions about the beverage all over the internet.
One Reddit user claimed to be a salesperson of the product, and said the best way to describe Starlight is as a cream soda type of beverage.
Another Reddit user disagreed, and said it tasted more more like a buttered popcorn Jelly Belly bean.
Gael Fashingbauer Cooper, a reviewer for Taste of Home, said her husband thought the drink seemed like a mixture of Coke and Dr Pepper.
When Can I Try Coke's New Flavor?
Coca-Cola Starlight will be available to purchase in stores across the country beginning February 21st.
Starlight will be available in individual 20-ounce bottles as well as 10-packs of 7.5-ounce mini cans in both in original taste and zero sugar options.
Coke vs Dr Pepper
There is no doubt that we love our Dr Pepper here in Texas, and that's always my go-to soda. However, out of curiosity, I may have to try Starlight, but only for research purposes.
I'll let you know if space tastes good!
