Here's why you need to slow down when you see an accident or construction work done on a highway!

Photos shared by the Irving Fire Department show the damage done to a fire truck after a car plowed into it over the weekend.

The ironic part is that the truck was parked at the scene of another wreck.

According to TxDOT's website, you can face a fine up to $2,000 for not slowing down and/or moving over for emergency vehicles.

Plus, it's just common sense to get out of the way or slow down to ensure you don't make the situation worse!

According to their facebook post, luckily no one was hurt.
