BEWARE: Texas Most DANGEROUS Road To Drive During The Holidays
In less than a week, Texas will be celebrating Christmas, followed closely by New Year’s, which means that many people will be making their way to the Lone Star State. Texas during the holiday season is truly beautiful, and I wouldn’t trade celebrating here for any other place in the world.
TEXAS DRIVERS NEED TO BE AWARE OF THE DANGERS OF THIS ROAD ESPECIALLY IN TEXAS
New Year’s in Texas is particularly pleasant, offering just the right weather, not too hot and not too cold. However, travelers need to be aware of the hazardous roads during this time. According to Herman and Herman, I-45 is the most dangerous road in Texas and ranks as the second most perilous road in the entire country.
THE ACCIDENTS TEXAS DRIVERS SEE ON THIS ROAD DURING THE HOLIDAYS ARE FAR TOO MANY
This highway stretches from Galveston to Houston, extending up to Dallas, with an alarming average of 5.5 to 6.5 fatal accidents per hundred miles over an eight-year study by the Accident Data Center. Houston, located in Harris County, has the most treacherous segment of I-45, recording 115 traffic fatalities, including 11 deaths in a single recent year. As someone who has driven this road numerous times, I can attest that, as a native, I’ve never grown accustomed to the intimidation of I-45. If you're planning a trip to Texas this year, please remember that staying focused on the road can make a significant difference in ensuring your safety during the holiday season.
