Carolyn Brown Earns Top Honors from the City of Killeen with Star Award

I’ve written hundreds of articles about Carolyn Brown over the years, but there are some people whose impact on a community simply cannot be captured in a few paragraphs. Carolyn Brown, owner and operator of The E Center, is so much more than an event coordinator, planner, and CEO. Around Killeen, she is affectionately known by many as the Godmother of the Killeen, and honestly, it’s easy to understand why.

Who Is Carolyn Brown?

Events, celebrations, and social gatherings in this community just don’t seem to happen without Carolyn Brown being somewhere in the mix. And that’s the way it has been for as long as I can remember. I remember being a little girl and thinking all I wanted was to get my hair done at Obsessions by Carolyn, the beauty shop she owned years ago. Never could I have imagined that one day I would have the privilege of calling Carolyn not only a friend, but also a mentor and one of the incredible women who have helped shape this city.
