Tia Juanita’s Brings Its Famous Cajun-Mexican Fusion to Harker Heights
It’s been almost two years since the Harker Heights restaurant and Games by Gambit closed. This building sat on Knights Way behind Harker Heights High School, tucked toward the back of 2410 FM. You could have drinks while playing in the escape rooms or just sit around the bonfires. It really wasn’t a very nice place before I left for a while, and it was sad to see the building stay closed for so long. It just felt like a large building that everyone had forgotten about.

The Secrets Out: Tia Juanita’s Fish Camp Chooses Harker Heights for Next Location
Recently, though, I’ve noticed there’s been a little bit of activity. The entire building was painted a seafoam green with red trim, which instantly caught my attention. That’s when I found out that Tia Juanita’s Fish Camp will be making this spot its new home. Tia Juanita’s Fish Camp is a Mexican/Cajun-infused restaurant with live music and a great atmosphere. There’s already a location in Waco, Texas, that many Texans are familiar with.
Here’s What to Expect When Tia Juanita's Fish Camp Opens in Harker Heights
I think it’s wonderful that Harker Heights is continuing to expand when it comes to offering more Cajun and seafood options. As of right now, we don’t have an actual opening date, but as I said before, it seems like they’re working very quickly to get this establishment up and running for the city. I’m definitely excited to see what this new addition brings to Harker Heights!
