Belton Man Asks Police To Arrest Him, Threatens Them When They Refuse
One man in the city of Temple, Texas, was taken into custody in a rather unique way. How did this situation occur and what led to the man's arrest? Here are the details of the case.
What Led To The Arrest Of A Man In Temple, Texas?
According to FOX 44, the situation occurred on August 17th, 2025 in the evening. Law enforcement was alerted to an issue at 2400 block of South 31st Street. Police then made their way to the area for what was reported from the call as a “welfare concern."
When officers arrived on scene, they entered the building where the call was reported and found two men. One being a security guard, the other being Ricky Don Foster, a 60 year old who was alleged to have an address in Belton. Foster, upon seeing law enforcement, requested to be arrested.

Police also heard from staff inside the building, wanted to have permanently disallowed from coming back. However, Foster insisted on being taken into custody, and left the building, walking to the officer's vehicle.
What Did Foster Do When He Left The Building?
FOX 44 reports that Foster once again insisted that officer place him under arrest. Law enforcement repeated that they couldn't just arrest him because he requested it. Foster then however, threatened the officer, saying he would hit the officer, and moving towards him with a clenched fist.
At that point, officers then placed him under arrest. At the time of writing, Foster faces a criminal trespass charge, and possibly could see another charge which is unknown at the time of writing.
As this a developing story, we will have more information when it becomes available.
