Caught Again: Bell County Man Accused Of Peering Into Windows
James Austin Grisham from Bell County was released from Bell County Jail on August 16th, 2025. However, he recently found himself back in prison following his actions eight days later. Here's what led to his recapturing.
What Was Grisham's Original Crime?
According to KWTX, Grisham was placed into custody on June 17, 2025 on a criminal trespassing charge. He was alleged to have been looking into windows on a private property. The windows in question where at the front of the houses.
He was arrested and his bond was set at $10,000. KCEN also revealed that this wasn't Grisham's first problems with law enforcement, as he had been taken into custody 28 times before. But, following his previous incarceration, there were concerns he would commit a crime again.

Those fears were proven true recently.

As reported by KWTX, Grisham was taken into custody once again, following his actions on August 24th, 2025. The news organization revealed the situation happened on the 5000 block of Elm Grove Road. Grisham was alleged to once again have been found criminally trespassing.
His bond this time was set at $15,000, and many once again have been wondering if there's a solution to be found. In a statement to KCEN, the Bell County Sheriff's Office, via Corey Powell, said this:
"We encourage people to be wary of him when he's out, and that they call us...If he comes on their property, call us and we'll take the enforceable action that the law allows us to do."
As this a developing story, we will have more information when it becomes available.
