12-year-old Texas Girl Dead Allegedly Due To Parents Poor Decision
Miranda Sipps was a 12-year-old girl from Texas who unfortunately lost her life after the neglect from her mother and stepfather on Monday left her in a life-threatening situation. According to Austin American statesman, the 12-year-old girl was found in critical condition struggling to breathe. Miranda was suffering from life-threatening injuries for four days and instead of calling the proper authorities immediately mother and stepfather thought the best way to care for the injuries was with vitamins mixed with smoothies to take the pain away.
HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?
In Atascosa County, which is 45 miles south of San Antonio where Miranda resides, emergency responders rushed to the 12-year-old and her mother on the highway while her mother was driving her to the hospital. Unfortunately, the young girl was pronounced dead after her arrival and according to the sheriff's office, it was due to life-threatening injuries that happened previously that Thursday. Sheriff Davis Saward stated that after the parents gave Miranda the smoothies mixed with vitamins, then she stopped talking and could flutter her eyes and move her hands a little over the four days.
JUSTICE FOR MIRANDA SIPPS
Saward also stated they were trying to give her smoothies, but someone unconscious was not able to swallow. Both adults were arrested and charged with a first-degree felony for injury to a child by omission. It believes that a couple of waited seeking medical attention to prevent law enforcement from coming to their home. Once the call was made for 911 to assist, Miranda’s mother chose to leave the house and meet emergency responders on the road, which is quite suspicious. Officers believe that this incident was strange and more investigation will take place. Justice for this child is a must.
