Toyota Recalling 1 Million Hybrid Vehicles Due To Fire Risk
Japanese automaker Toyota has issued a recall for its Prius and C-HR compact crossover hybrid cars due to a problem with an electrical issue that could start a fire.
According to CNN, the recall covers its Prius, Prius plug-in hybrid and C-HR SUV models produced between June 2015 and May 2018. The problem involves wire harnesses that connect to the cars' power control units which could wear away over time, generating heat and potentially a fire.
The company says they will fix the problem free of charge. To find out more information, call the Toyota Customer Experience Center at 1-800-331-4331 or the Lexus Guest Experience Center at 1-800-255-3987.
