Saint Jovite Youngblood's Actions That Led To His Arrest

According to the United States Attorney's Office, Saint Jovite Youngblood, who is also known as Kota Youngblood, was recently placed in jail. The office revealed Youngblood spoofed being involved with a U.S. Army’s Delta Force special operations unit, and called people stating they were going to be harmed by Mexican Drug Cartels. Youngblood would then offer safety from the false attacks, getting the target to pay them.

Youngblood collected over 12 million dollars due to this fraud. In addition to the amount of money he illegally collected, the total number of individuals harmed was 32. But, he was finally taken into custody on July 21, 2023. Per Aaron Tapp Special Agent in Charge for FBI’s San Antonio Field Office, who assisted in the arrest:

"The FBI is committed to identifying scams such as this - and ensuring anyone who endeavors to financially fleece innocent Americans is held to account. We want to thank the U.S. Attorney’s Office for their work on this case - and their continued assistance in gaining justice for victims of financial crimes.”

Youngblood's Punishment For Breaking The Law

The United States Attorney's Office revealed that the crimes and sentence for Youngblood were as follows: 40 years in prison and also the requirement of paying back the amount of $12,766,384 in compensation. It was also revealed that Youngblood took the money to wager in Las Vegas casinos. Jaime Esparza, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas, said of the verdict:

"The 40-year sentence that Youngblood will now serve in federal prison, along with the full restitution paid back to the victims, demonstrates the gravity of these crimes, and it is my hope that the individuals and families impacted by his schemes are able to repair any loss they have suffered. Thanks to our partners at the FBI for their investigative efforts that assisted greatly with this successful outcome of justice.”
