Large Fire In Killeen Creates Cloud Of Smoke

A grassfire along Rosewood Drive off U.S. Highway 190/Interstate 14 in Killeen could be seen for several miles.

Our news partners KWTX report that firefighters and other first responders were quickly on the scene to battle the fire that spread to a shed and pallets. They advised nearby occupants to take shelter and turn on heating/air conditioning systems to battle the smoke.

A medical center and nursing homes are near the scene.
