With the good news of the reopening of The Friends In Crisis homeless shelter reopening soon, the Central Texas community is starting to come together to figure out how to solve homelessness in our area once and for all. One of the ways to start to solve the problem is through information about ways you can find help.

This Saturday July 27th, Kiss Community Connections with Phyllis Jones will be hosting a Community Connections Informational Block Party in front of the Friends In Crisis Homeless Shelter at 412 E. Sprott Street from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM.

The purpose of this block party is bring agencies and groups together that serve the less fortunate into one space where those in need can get all the information needed to get the help that they need. Also, its helpful to you even if you aren't "less fortunate" because you never know when you could use a helping hand yourself. Hot meals will be served to those in need.

There will be music, vendors including a "Game Truck" for kids and Melz On The MIC will be hanging out with the Kiss Crusier and more! If you're an organization or agency that serves the less fortunate in our community then you need to be at this event. For information on FREE vendor space, contact Phyllis Jones at 254-702-2536 or email her at jonesphy@yahoo.com.
