
KISD Assures Safety: Threatening Post Not Believable
A post that threatened Roy J. Smith Middle School on Thursday, May 15, has been determined to be non-credible, according to KWTX. The post was immediately reported to law enforcement and district officials, according to interim principal Dr. Bobbie Reeders.

No Credible Threat to KISD After Social Media Post Review
Once reported, appropriate actions were taken to ensure that all students and staff at Killeen Middle School were informed. Dr. Reeders stated, “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who came forward with information. Your willingness to speak up plays a critical role in keeping our campus safe.”

She also added, “Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we work together to maintain a safe and supportive school community.”
Parents and students were informed that if they had any questions or concerns about the incident, they were welcome to reach out directly to Dr. Reeders or any member of the administrative team.
