The north side of Killeen was in a real-life chaotic situation yesterday when police officers were called to the 1700 block of Cedar Hill Drive. According to KWTX, Jonathan David Burr was the reason for all the commotion. He appeared to be in a standoff with police officers, prompting authorities to block off the streets.

Later that night, the Killeen Police Department issued a message on social media stating that Burr was possibly armed and dangerous, urging the public not to approach him and to call police instead.

According to officers, there is no longer a threat to the public, and they expressed appreciation for the community’s patience and cooperation. Jonathan David Burr has since been apprehended. Allegedly, Burr fired shots at law enforcement during the pursuit, wrecked his vehicle, and fled on foot. Fortunately, he is now in custody, and the city can rest easier knowing the situation has been resolved.
