UPDATE: Body in Creek Bed Identified as Missing Killeen Resident
The Killeen Police Department issued a missing person’s report on October 24 that left residents deeply concerned. On Wednesday, the Dallas County Medical Examiner identified a body that was found as that of Henry Luis Suarez, a 38-year-old man from Killeen, according to KXXV.

Creek Bed Tragedy: Identity of Missing Killeen Man Confirmed
Officials believe it’s possible that Suarez-Perez had been in the White Flint Park Road area near Texas Highway 36 on October 6. On that date, deputies responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle parked in the area. The Sheriff’s Office reported that when deputies checked the vehicle on October 6, it was tagged and found abandoned after no one was located nearby.
The next morning, a report was made about a man sitting near the roadway close to White Flint Park Road and Winkler Park Road, but when deputies returned to the location, no one was found. On October 22, neighbors requested that authorities check the vehicle again. The car was then impounded and towed to a storage facility in Temple after being confirmed abandoned.
Body Found Near Temple Identified as Missing Killeen Man
On Monday, the remains of Suarez were discovered in a creek bed west of the city of Temple. The Bell County Sheriff’s Office is treating Suarez’s death as suspicious, and his family has been notified.
The Texas Rangers, Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division, Texas Highway Patrol, and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Canine Unit are assisting the Criminal Investigations Division with the case.
