Once again, a few Killeen businesses have teamed up for a sneaker giveaway as they do good in the hood!

Hangover Bar and Grill announced today that they will be giving away sneakers for the kids courtesy of Krab Kingz Seafood and High Society, just as they did last month.

This will happen at 6:45 PM tonight (Thursday, August 12th).

They all teamed up and gave away a whole lot of sneakers last month, and just in time for the start of school they are giving away MORE sneakers for the kids.

Sizes run from pre-school to grade school.

The kids must be in attendance, and it's first come, first served!

Hangover Sports Grill is located at 104 W. Elms Rd in Killeen.

And hey, don't forget that there's still time to help us out with the 2021 Stuff the Bus campaign to benefit kids in need of school supplies right here in Central Texas. There are drop-off locations across CTX, so if you're able to spare a little extra as you do your back-to-school shopping, be sure to drop by one of the fine sponsors below and leave the supplies with them. We'll make sure they get into the right hands in Killeen, Belton, and Temple.

If you've already given, thank you so much. Central Texas kids face enormous challenges going into the new school year, and we want to make sure that having the basic supplies they need to succeed isn't one of them. We couldn't do it without your generosity, so again, than you so much for helping out.

It's Time to 'Stuff the Bus' for Central Texas Students

The new school year is just around the corner, and Central Texas students will face unique challenges as we put the pandemic behind us and look to the future.

One challenge no child should face is being without the essential school supplies they'll need to live up to their potential and achieve academic success.

That's where you and I come in. From July 19 to August 15, you can donate school supplies at the following locations. Donated supplies will benefit students in need in Belton ISD, Killeen ISD, and Temple ISD. (Click each district to view their 2021-2022 school supply lists.)

LOOK: Here are the best lake towns to live in

Many of the included towns jump out at the casual observer as popular summer-rental spots--the Ozarks' Branson, Missouri, or Arizona's Lake Havasu--it might surprise you to dive deeper into some quality-of-life offerings beyond the beach and vacation homes. You'll likely pick up some knowledge from a wide range of Americana: one of the last remaining 1950s-style drive-ins in the Midwest; a Florida town that started as a Civil War veteran retirement area; an island boasting some of the country's top public schools and wealth-earners right in the middle of a lake between Seattle and Bellevue; and even a California town containing much more than Johnny Cash's prison blues.
