I have a few buddies who work in the retail industry and trust me, it can be brutal. If you work in it, you already know. Things aren't promised even if you're working for a mammoth company. From Walmart to Target and even designer stores, no one is safe from downsizing in 2023.

Having once owned a business myself, I can tell you, your status can change at a moment's notice and without warning. Let's check out some of the stores closing locations this year. This is just a sample of all the businesses closing locations soon. The complete list has nearly 200 different retail companies. But the news isn't all bad. So far Abilene stores are safe and show no signs of shutting down.
