Comcast, one of the nation's biggest internet service providers, experienced a nationwide interruption of services after fiber lines were cut at one of its major hubs.

"One of Comcast’s large backbone network partners had a fiber cut that we believe is also impacting other providers," the company's support team tweeted. "It is currently affecting our business and residential internet, video and voice customers. We apologize & are working to get services restored as soon as possible"

Twitter being, well, Twitter, Comcast became the butt of jokes from people still able to connect to the internet.

Some users saw the outage as an opportunity to go outside and enjoy a nice summer day. Gotta look for that silver lining!

Lord knows live radio experiences crazy technical issues all the time, so good luck and godspeed to the all the technicians and customer support operators being yelled at right now.
