End of an Era: Fry's of Belton Closes After 10 Years
Fry's Restaurant is a beloved local diner known for its home-cooked meals. I’ve had the pleasure of writing about this spot more than a few times, simply because the food is that good. When you walk into the diner, you immediately feel like part of the family. The customer service is top-notch, and the food is nostalgic—true comfort meals that warm the heart. The Southern comfort-style establishment opened in 2015 and quickly became a community favorite, building a loyal base of regulars. You know the food is special when people just keep coming back for more.

Jorge Jara, co-owner of the restaurant, stated that one of the main reasons for the closure is a disagreement in management. Jara shared, “I’ve been running Fries Restaurant for more than 10 years, and I’ve always tried to serve the community good food and good service. People saw what I built here—what this restaurant became. But we’ve had some difficult issues with the partnership, and because of that, we’re closing.”As someone who has truly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, I can say without a doubt that I won’t be the only one who will miss this special place.
