Pets are an important part of our lives in Texas. Whether it's a dog or a cat, perhaps even a bird, they bring us joy. Sometimes some headaches as well, but mostly joy.

A lot of us adopt our pets, and dogs are one of most adopted animals. Saving a dog from a shelter is definitely a heartwarming moment. For eight dogs in Texas, that moment will soon be arriving.

But, it was almost a moment of tragedy for the eight young pups, as they almost weren't saved to be adopted. How did it happen?

Who Saved Eight Puppies From A Texas Park?

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Matt McEntire, who's affiliated with Humane Society of North Texas, was in Crestwood Park. Crestwood Park is located in Fort Worth, and McEntire was taking his dog for a walk. While inside the park, McEntire heard sounds inside a garbage can.

Alarmed, McEntire looked inside the trash bin, and as revealed by The Humane Society,

“When he looked inside, he was horrified to find eight tiny puppies — abandoned, freezing and scared. With no food, water or warmth, their survival was uncertain.”

Thinking quickly, McEntire, one by one, took all the dogs back to his house. Thanks to the his efforts, the puppies were checked medically, and should be soon cleared for adoption.
