Copperas Cove’s 2nd Annual Kite Festival On July 18th
Time to climb into the attic or into your closet and pull those kites out for some family fun in Cove!
The City of Copperas Cove and Cove Parks & Recreation are hosting the 2nd Annual Kite Festival on Saturday, July 18 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Ogletree Gap Preserve, 1878 Post Office Road.
July is Parks and Recreation Month, and this is just one of the ways in which we wish to celebrate with our community!
The event will include: kite flying, music, food trucks, market vendors, yard games, kid activities and much more.
The Kite Festival is family oriented and suitable for all ages. They also encourage you to bring a lawn chair and umbrella to help beat the heat.
Don’t have a kite? No worries, they will have unlimited complimentary kites available! This is a FREE event for all except the food trucks and vendors, so bring some money anyway!
For more information on becoming an event sponsor or to reserve a spot as a vendor, contact Special Events Coordinator Ashley Wilson at awilson@copperascovetx.gov or (254) 542-2719.
