The Beginnings Of Central Texas College In Killeen, Texas

In the 60s, some in Central Texas began to look at the idea of the building a learning institution in the area. Eventually, according to the school itself, that community college became known as Central Texas College. But, there was a lot needed to be done for it to come to fruition.

First, there was of course land needed to start. Per the school, Fort Hood helped with that by providing 560 acres of space to begin construction. After the school was finally built, it was time to open the school to the 2,068 that registered to attend.
