Killeen’s Dog-Friendly Water Party Is Back for Another Year of Fun
The City of Killeen is bringing back one of my favorite events: the Killeen Bow Wow Luau! On September 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Zenner Family Aquatic Center, located at 1800 E. Stan Schluter Loop, the Killeen Bow Wow Luau will be in full effect.

What Is The Killeen Bow Wow Luau?
This free community event allows you and your puppies to come out and not only showcase their skills by competing in some really funny events, but also gives your fur babies an opportunity to cool off because, as we all know, September in Central Texas is still going to be scorching hot!
What Is Included In This Event?
There will be costume competitions, like the Owner-Dog Look-Alike contest, and you can’t forget about the Best Part. That’s sure to bring out the inner champion in everyone!
What Is The Cost To Attend?
There is no registration required for this event, and admission is completely free. However, space is limited to the first 100 dogs inside the facility, so residents are encouraged to arrive as early as possible. And don’t forget to grab your goodie basket while supplies last!
Here Is What Residents Need To Know Before Attending The Event
The City of Killeen does want residents who decide to attend to make sure all dogs are microchipped, spayed or neutered, and up to date on their rabies vaccinations. You will need to provide proof of rabies vaccination and microchip verification before entering the building.
