There’s A Big Change Regarding Cash In Place For Two Big Stores In Texas
In this digital age we live in, it seems like everybody uses their card to buy food or items. It's rare to see somebody pay for something using normal cash in the state of Texas. But it does happen, and you definitely know it happens when you hear the all familiar noise of a cash register.
But, recently, it seems like more and more frauds involving real money have been on the rise. Sadly though, you can see these happen, no matter the year:
To say the least, paying for something with a fake or fraudulent dollar bill is not a good idea. So much so, that certain brand name stores in Texas are taking steps to eliminate the chance for an individual to do so.
In fact, Texas is one of the first states where these rules will be put into place. But what are the regulations?
What Are The New Rules Regarding Dollar Bills At Texas Targets And Walmarts?
According to the Irish Star, here's the big change: Dollar bills, from the amounts of $1 through $100, will need to not be the following:
- burned
- discolored
- have damaged edges
- torn
If a dollar bill, no matter the amount, appears in anyway as mentioned above, it will not be accepted by either business. Stores in Texas are already alerting customers to new order.
Overall, per The Irish Star, Target and Walmart won't be the only stores to put in place these changes. Other stores, which haven't been revealed at the time of writing, will also use these rules. So if your using cash in Texas, make it sure it looks nice!
