BEWARE: Texas Schools Are Closing Due To Dangerous Illness Spreading

Grab your tissues, Texas it's flu season. Around this time each year Texans, prepare for stuffy, noses, watery eyes, itchy throats, and fevers as high as 106°. It’s just a normal flu season here in the great state. This year may be a lot different when it comes to it being a no so normal flu season.

SCHOOLS ARE SHUTTING DOWN IN THE GREAT STATE!

According to KXAN school districts all around Texas, have found themself closing due to an illness spreading around the state. As if COVID-19 wasn’t enough to give you anxiety about sending your children back to school. More cases of respiratory illness are being reported all over the country and has taken its toll in Texas. Recently, the Texas Department of State Health Services launched a respiratory illness, interactive dashboard, which shows not only the trends in COVID-19 and RSV but also influenza and the latest statistics say that all three illnesses are honestly upward which is not only dangerous but worrisome.

DO NOT TAKE BEING SICK LIGHTLY, IT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE TEXAS!

This illness has faculty, staff members, and students home with an unusually high number of sicknesses. Over six school districts have closed their doors due to sicknesses. We want to avoid any more schools and individuals being sick or having to close, it is highly suggested if you find yourself feeling sick or your child possibly being sick keep them home. The illness is spreading very quickly through the great state we have to be as cautious as possible.
