Want to help set the direction for the future of Belton ISD? You're invited.

According to a press release issued Tuesday afternoon, Belton ISD is set to host four community summits before the end of March. The summits will discuss the current state of the district, and you can help decide on the future direction the district will go.

The sessions will be a two hour virtual meeting open to the public. Deputy superintendent Dr. Malinda Golden says, “We value the participation and voice of our community. We believe hearing these voices, listening to their ideas and dreams, is the way to create the best path forward for the district.”

Belton ISD is growing, with more than 12,600 students currently attending school in the district. Expectations are that more than 16,000 students will be enrolled by 2030.

“As a district, we’re working to set the direction for the future of Belton ISD, a future that continues our tradition of excellence for each and every student. We need the community to be co-navigators with us.” Golden said.

The district began its long range planning last Fall, with the Board of Trustees adopting its goals and creating Journey of a Graduate, which will focus on the six abilities their hoping to instill in students through the course of their Belton ISD education.

The Community Summits are expected to follow the same agenda, and with four scheduled Summits set to take place, the public can attend the one that works best for their schedule. Spanish translators will be available at all Summits.
