It's been less than a week since Tom Brady and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers put a thumpin' on the Kansas City Chiefs to win Super Bowl LV (55), and just over a month since Alabama took care of Ohio State and won the NCAA National Championship. That said, here we are already counting down the days 'til football returns.

Baylor University has announced its football schedule for the 2021 season, and McLane Stadium will host seven games this year with the Bears on the road for five games.

The Bears will open the season on September 4th in San Marcos to take on the Texas State University Bobcats. The home opener is set for the following week as Texas Southern comes to McLane Stadium on September 11.

The home schedule includes some interesting matchups. The Bears are set to host not only Texas Southern, but also Iowa State, West Virginia, BYU, Texas, Oklahoma, and Texas Tech.

Baylor will hit the road for games at Texas State, Kansas, Oklahoma State, TCU, and at Kansas State for the final road game.

Several dates to keep in mind are Family Weekend, which is set to happen on the September 25th games against Iowa State and Homecoming on October 16 against BYU.

If things go the way they seem to be going right now, we may actually be able to go to the games and do some tailgating as well.
