Former President Barack Obama has been hard at work writing his memoir about his time in the White House and the first volume is ready for release.

According to the Associated Press, Obama's highly anticipated memoir  "A Promised Land" will be released on November 17th, two weeks after Election Day. The 768 page book will cover his historic and swift rise to the presidency and his first term in office.

Obama's first two books, “Dreams from My Father” and “The Audacity of Hope,” sold millions of copies and are believed to have helped his 2008 campaign. The book will also cover his and wife Michelle's personal journeys during that era. Michelle's memoir "Becoming" has already sold over 10 million copies in two years and Barack's is expected to do just as well.

The book is reported to be priced at $45. No release date on his second volume has been announced.
